Sarah Taylor                                       Toccoa, Georgia
 
 
Mrs. Sarah Lou Ivester Taylor, age 89 of 124 Branch Street, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Habersham County Medical Center.
 
A daughter of the late Luther and Dollie Mae Irvin Ivester, she was born July 6, 1928 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She was a homemaker and a member of The Pointe Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edd Taylor in 2003.
 
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy Woodward of Greenwood, South Carolina; son, Tommy Taylor of Toccoa; two grandchildren, Samantha Smith and Steven Taylor; one great-grandchild, Justin Taylor.
 
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 12, 2017, 4 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty and The Reverend Austin Ivester officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dennis Gibson, Scottie Owens, Stan Woodward, Ben Smith, Harold Holbrooks and Russell Kirk.
 
The family will be at the home on Branch Street and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
 
Interment will follow in Prospect Methodist Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Sarah Lou Ivester Taylor.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

I loved your mother so much. I cared for her in her home when I worked for Rescare . She was family to me . We had some great talks together that I will hold dear to my heart . I will dearly miss her. I will be praying for the family.
