Richard Cobb                                      Toccoa, Geogia
 
Mr. Richard Allen Cobb, age 56 of 924 Long Road, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence.
 
A son of the late Tom Ed and Sara Dooley Cobb, he was born April 9, 1961 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a 12 year Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Desert Storm.  He was retired from Georgia Department of Transportation in the capacity as Surveyor and Statewide Location Bureau Chief after 23 years of service.  He was a member of the Toccoa Elks Lodge.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brittany Cobb.
 
Survivors include his wife of the home, Claudia Geissler Cobb; four daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and Andrew Scott of Toccoa, Christina and Joshua Oliver of Mt. Airy, Jessica Cobb of Folly Beach, South Carolina and Tabitha and Ted Ruble of Maryland; son, Matthew Cobb of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Anna Grace Scott, Avery Scott, Jasper Oliver, Coraline Oliver, Reagan Ruble and Landon Ruble; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Richard Spearman of Roswell, Georgia and Ginger and Bob Milosovic of Cumming, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews. 
 
Memorial services will be Friday, August 4, 2017, 4 O’clock P.M. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. Military Honors by the Georgia National Guard Honor Guard.
 
The family will receive friends at the Toccoa Elks Lodge after the service to celebrate his life.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Power of Hope, P.O. Box 286, Lavonia, Georgia  30553 or Power House for Kids, 768 Hwy. 123, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mr. Richard Allen Cobb.
 
Acree-Davis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Richard Allen Cobb.

Gulf War Veteran's Memorial

My deepest sympathies go out to Mr. Cobb's family and Friends. Many prayers to all of you during this difficult time. My sympathies for your loss. Rich was a kind man. I worked with him for a period of time, and his vanilla ice cream was the best part of the chili cook-off, even when he forgot the sugar. I pray that each of his loved ones find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Little Ritchie....is the only way I can think of him. Marie we were in high school when Ritchie was born. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to Ritchie's wife and famiy; Marie to you and Richard and your daughters; Ginger to you and your family. My prayers are for each of you to find peace from your faith in God; in sharing your memories of Ritchie; and, in knowing that he will always remain in your thoughts and in your hearts....a part of you forever.
