Martha Cook:  Clarkesville, Georgia
Mrs. Martha Holden Cook, age 63, of Weeping Willow Drive in Clarkesville, Ga., passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Habersham Medical Center in Demorest, Ga. 
A daughter of the late Sam L. Holden and Irene Tyler Whitfield, she was born October 6, 1953 in Clayton, Georgia.  She lived in White County, Ga. for several years and most of her life in Toccoa.  She was of the Baptist faith. Family always came first in her life.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and she held the family together during good times and bad. Mrs. Cook had a great sense of humor and could make light of situations with her humorous personality.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, April Rathburn McCarty and by two brothers and three sisters. 
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Christy and Gary Dutton of Clarkesville, Ga. and Charlet Corle of Cleveland, Ga., a son, Stacey Holden, eight grandchildren, Abigail Fleming of Tampa, Florida, Garrett Dutton and his girlfriend Lilly House, Dustin Dutton, Elizabeth Dutton, Brittany Brady, Anthony Brady, Candice Fleming, and Ellisa Cagle; seven great-grandchildren, four sisters and brothers-in-laws, Reba and Angus Hunter of Hollywood, Ga., Patsy and Thurmond Gibson of Clarkesville, Ga., Genelle Looney of Clarkesville, and Lynn Derrick of King, N.C., three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Vicki Holden of Cornelia, Ga., Andy and Genda Derrick of Demorest, Ga., and Buster and Pam Derrick of Cleveland, Ga., and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Visitation will be held Sunday May 21 from 5 P.M. til 7 P.M. at Acree-Davis Funeral Home.

Family will have a private inurnment at a later date.

The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted and that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mrs. Martha Cook, c/o Acree-Davis Funeral Home, 90 South Pond Street, Toccoa, Ga. 30577.

Martha, heaven gained another precious soul Thursday afternoon. Our lights are a little dimmer with you gone. Miss you, we already do! Love you? We always will . Our family was blessed to have you with us for 63 years!!! Tell all our loved ones, i love and miss them. I know you are happy & pain free and that makes your passing a little easier to bear.
